Yaham Recience Modern Slavery Statement
Yaham Recience (“we”, “our”) is firmly committed to upholding human rights, eradicating all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking, and building an ethical, responsible supply chain and workplace. This statement is made in accordance with international human rights standards (such as the International Labour Organization’s Fundamental Conventions) and relevant legal requirements, reflecting our ongoing efforts to address modern slavery risks.
1. Our Business and Supply Chain Overview
Yaham Recience is engaged in the R&D, production and sales of LED display modules and intelligent lighting products. Our operations span domestic markets (Mainland China) and international markets in Europe, North America, and Latin America, and our supply chain covers raw material (such as aluminum alloy, circuit boards) procurement, core component assembly, finished product testing, and global logistics distribution, involving suppliers inChina. The complexity of the supply chain means we must remain vigilant against potential modern slavery risks, particularly in labor-intensive links such as raw material extraction and manufacturing.
2. Our Commitment to Combating Modern Slavery
We firmly oppose all forms of modern slavery, including forced labor, debt bondage, child labor, human trafficking, and servitude. This commitment is embedded in our corporate values and is a non-negotiable requirement for all employees, suppliers, and business partners. We ensure our actions align with:
- International conventions and local labor laws related to anti-modern slavery;
- Our internal Code of Business Ethics and Supplier Code of Conduct, which explicitly prohibit modern slavery practices and require compliance from all parties;
- The principle of “zero tolerance” for any violation of anti-modern slavery requirements.
3. Risk Assessment and Due Diligence Measures
To proactively identify and mitigate modern slavery risks, we implement the following measures:
- Supply Chain Risk Mapping: We conduct regular risk assessments on suppliers, focusing on high-risk regions (economically underdeveloped areas) and industries (e.g., agriculture, textile manufacturing) to prioritize key suppliers for in-depth review.
- Supplier Due Diligence: All new suppliers must pass anti-modern slavery compliance checks, including submitting declarations of no involvement in modern slavery, and providing evidence of labor law compliance. For existing suppliers, we conduct annual audits and unannounced spot checks.
- Internal Compliance Monitoring: We train internal audit teams to inspect workplace conditions, ensure employees are not subjected to coercion or unfair restrictions, and verify that recruitment processes (e.g., no fee-charging by intermediaries) are legal.
4. Supplier Management and Collaboration
Suppliers are key partners in our anti-modern slavery efforts. We require all suppliers to:
- Adopt and implement anti-modern slavery policies consistent with ours;
- Conduct their own supply chain due diligence to ensure upstream partners comply with requirements;
- Cooperate with our audits and provide relevant documents when requested.
For suppliers found to have potential modern slavery risks, we implement a corrective action plan:
- Issue a formal notice requiring remediation within a specified timeframe;
- Provide support (e.g., training on labor law compliance) to help suppliers improve;
- Terminate cooperation with suppliers that refuse to rectify or have repeated violations.
5. Training and Awareness
We believe employee awareness is critical to combating modern slavery. We provide regular training to:
- All employees: Explain modern slavery forms, identification methods, and reporting channels;
- Procurement and supply chain teams: Focus on supplier risk assessment skills and compliance management;
- Management teams: Strengthen leadership responsibility for anti-modern slavery initiatives.
6. Grievance Mechanisms
We have established a confidential, accessible grievance channel to enable employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report suspected modern slavery issues. The channel features:
- Multiple reporting methods: Including dedicated email (Info@recience.com), phone hotline (+86-13924661976), and anonymous online forms;
- Impartial handling: Reports are reviewed by an independent internal committee to ensure fairness;
- Protection against retaliation: We strictly prohibit retaliation against reporters and safeguard their legitimate rights.
All reports are investigated promptly (within 7 working days of receipt), and the investigation results and handling measures are fed back to the reporter (where appropriate).
7. Remediation and Continuous Improvement
When modern slavery-related issues are identified, we take immediate action to:
- Remediate harm: Provide compensation or support to affected individuals (e.g., back pay for employees subjected to wage withholding);
- Address root causes: Revise flawed processes (e.g., improving supplier screening standards) and strengthen monitoring;
- Track effectiveness: Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure issues are fully resolved and prevent recurrence.
We regularly review and update our anti-modern slavery policies and measures based on industry best practices, legal changes, and risk assessment results to enhance response effectiveness.
8. Accountability
The board of directors oversees our anti-modern slavery work, and the Operation Business Unit is responsible for daily implementation. We include anti-modern slavery compliance in management performance evaluations to ensure leadership accountability.
9. Future Goals
Going forward, we intend to:
- Extend anti-modern slavery due diligence to 100% of our key suppliers;
- Launch a supplier training program on anti-modern slavery to improve the overall compliance level of the supply chain;
- Publish annual progress reports on anti-modern slavery efforts to enhance transparency.
Yaham Recience recognizes that combating modern slavery is a long-term task. We will continue to strengthen cooperation with stakeholders, continuously improve our practices, and contribute to eliminating modern slavery in global supply chains.
